copperdot and Elektra: strengthening competitiveness for e-mobility

Innovative solutions for electromechanical assemblies

Founded in 1947, the Elektra Group is an international development supplier and innovator for injection molding and assembly processes in the automotive and non-automotive industry with a focus on the production of electromechanical components.
In the past, Elektra's challenge often lay in not being competitive enough for larger assemblies with PCBs and electronic components. As a result, the company was often not nominated for projects involving PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards).
To develop further in the field of EMC filters (electromagnetic compatibility) and busbars for e-mobility and to ensure greater added value for the company, Elektra sought a solid supplier base. Before the collaboration with copperdot, there was also a desire for PCB manufacturers who could meet high customer requirements such as special soldering processes or temperature tests.
A smooth partnership in the PCB project
Sebastian Heinze, Managing Director Technology, recalls: "During the award process and throughout the entire duration of the project, the process with the experts from copperdot has been uncomplicated and smooth so far. During pre-series production, for example, it turned out that the outer packaging of the supplied parts was not ideal for the subsequent work steps. "A brief exchange with our partners from Elektra and we immediately initiated the suggestion for improvement for the next batch," says Fazli Yilmaz, the responsible Key Account Manager at Bosch.
With Bosch's expertise gained over decades in the PCB industry, the copperdot service complements Elektra's innovative production of assemblies. "The reliability of our business partners is an important part of the company's success," says Sebastian Heinze.

A bonus in cooperation – service for PCBAs (Assembled Printed Circuit Boards)

An additional advantage of Bosch's PCB service for the project with Elektra: not only the raw PCB was procured via copperdot. The copperdot experts also facilitated the assembly of the PCB and were thus able to deliver the finished PCBA immediately. Another element that copperdot was able to contribute to Elektra's continued business success!
